Today, I tried to sleep in only to wake up at 7:45 a.m. I only wish I could be like my daughter who got up at 10:45 a.m. We wish we had some spectacular place to go this week but instead I think we are just going to hang out by the pool. We did have an exciting trip to Chuck E. Cheese yesterday. My 8 year old ended up with over 3,200 tickets. She made a wise choice and cashed her tickets in for a Little Pet Shop monopoly game and a pop a gun game. After that, we went to see "The Proposal." It was a great movie but I am not sure it is exactly what you would call "kid" friendly. (These days I don't know if there is any such thing.) We came home just in time for daddy to get off work. He and my daughter played with the pop a gun game. I think they had a pretty good time. We ended the day with a bonfire in which we roasted hot dogs and marshmallows and ate outside. What a great day! I am looking forward to the pool today and the joys of parenthood. You never know what life is going to bring you when you have a child!
